Graphic Designer
Full-time, in-house position
Applied Analysis is currently seeking applications for an entry-level graphic designer. A graphic designer at Applied Analysis will work collaboratively with the analyst team to develop presentations, reports and graphics for a wide range of client deliverables. As a leading economic and public policy research firm in Nevada, our clients represent nearly every sector of the regional economy, from state and local governments to professional sports teams. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to learn to adapt design concepts that will enhance data visualization, particularly around economic data.
Graphic Designer Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Data infographics
- Presentations (creating templates for use in PowerPoint, assisting with presentation graphics)
- Reports (designing print-ready, data-driven reports, updating and refreshing recurring briefings, developing infographics around economic data)
- Website design (planning and layout of websites, no coding required)
Design Skills
Time management, project management, and attention to detail are critical to the role. A graphic designer is expected to coordinate with project managers and analysts to ensure the timely completion of multiple potential projects at a given time. Graphic designers at Applied Analysis frequently work with data. Graphic designers are not data analysts; however, they are expected to work with analysts to gradually build an understanding of basic economic data and topics and use that understanding to develop concise, impactful ways to present it. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel is preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
