Spearheaded by the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), the Southern Nevada Regional Growth Cluster submitted a plan to enhance the region’s advanced manufacturing sector and diversify its economic base. As a finalist in the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s $1 billion Build Back Better Regional Challenge, the group received a $500,000 planning grant to develop a proposal that addressed critical infrastructure needs in Southern Nevada to support growth in the advanced manufacturing sector.
