Meet the Team

Jon Birds is the Director of Operations at Applied Analysis. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He also advanced to candidacy in UNLV’s doctoral program in Public Affairs, with a specialization in Criminal Justice—specifically examining place management and the spatial distribution of crime.

Jon began his tenure with the firm in 2018 as an analyst. In this role, he contributed to a broad range of projects, including economic impact studies, market analyses, fiscal and economic modeling, land use and development studies, public policy analysis and litigation support projects. His technical areas of focus include data science techniques, geospatial analysis, data visualization, report writing, and presentation development.

Jon began his current position as the Director of Operations in August 2022. He now focuses on designing and overseeing internal systems to improve project management, streamline operations, and optimize resource allocation across the firm.
